John C. Cappello

March 24, 1941 — February 9, 2011

Cappello – John C., CDT, age 69, of Westwood MA, formerly of Framingham MA passed away peacefully in his home on February 9th, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones after courageously battling a long illness.

John attended schools in Boston and in his later years attended The New England School of Mechanical Dentistry, where he became a Certified Dental Technician and was employed by Atkins Dentistry of Needham for over 30 years. During that time he lectured as a faculty member of Wentworth Institute and taught a new generation of students from many countries the skills necessary to be successful in the dental profession, and to help them take those skills and help others throughout the world. John was also a dental technician instructor at the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Technical School in Wakefield until his retirement in 2005.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Willis) Cappello; his three daughters, Deborah, and her husband Erik Slivka of North Andover; Lisa, and her husband Eric Burkett of Franklin; Karen, and her husband Eric Sullivan of Stow; and son Paul of Franklin. John is survived by his five little loves, his grandchildren Jarred, Kylie, Kenzie, Ashley and Adam – “Rest in peace Papa” and his only surviving sibling, Carol Danielson and her husband Richard of Billerica.

At the request of the family, all services will be private.
