Joan Hotchkiss Wells

d. November 18, 2017

Wells, Joan (Hotchkiss), of Westwood, died November 18th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Harry E. "Skip" Wells for 54 years. Loving mother of Harry E. "Chip" Wells IV and his wife May of Wareham and Jill Mondrush and her husband Eric of Milford, MI. Devoted grandmother of Harry E. Wells V and Bradley and Benjamin Mondrush. Sister of Jill Basherian and her husband Paul of Plymouth, MI.

Joan was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, sister, listener, friend, and a master volunteer. A partial list of her volunteer efforts would include: a lay chaplain at the Brigham, prison ministry, Sunday School teacher and superintendent, Hale Reservation, Meals on Wheels, feeding the hungry at various places, driving for Fish, tutoring reading, teaching English as a Second Language, and showing indigent mothers how to read to their children. Joan was able to do all of this with a high degree of optimism and a great sense of humor.
