Jeffrey Allen Conley of Dedham, Massachusetts, formerly of Westwood, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2025. He was 54 years old, just a month shy of his 55th birthday. Jeff was the second of five children born to David S. and Dorothy (O’Connor) Conley. Jeffrey was notoriously known as a generous person and regarded by family and friends as whip smart. He was always willing to share what little he had with his friends and family.
As a youth, Jeff was a fearsome defender of friends and loved ones and an accomplished athlete. Jeff had a flair for the dramatics which he expressed as breakdancer and performing stunts on his skateboard and BMX bike. He was a creative writer, artist, and storyteller. He had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed watching The History Channel, Ancient Aliens and How It’s Made.
He was a die-hard Boston sports fan who knew the ins and outs of all the sports he followed and was often found cheering on his beloved Boston Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox. He was an avid Stephen King fan and enjoyed reading the Jack Reacher series and Dean Kootz.
Since Jeff was a child, he loved music and carried that love of music with him throughout his entire life. When his brother David created the band TREE, Jeff was the band’s #1 fan and supporter. Jeff became quite infamous in the Boston music scene for his support, enthusiasm, and amazing dance moves at the shows. He was extremely proud of his collection of backstage passes.
Though known for his unconventional choices, Jeff made the best decision of his life when he married Helen Marie Flanagan, who he met in junior high and befriended when they were 12. They exchanged vows on April 8, 2000. Together, they had two children, Owen Connor in 2003 and Patrick David in 2006. The boys were everything to Jeff. As an avid sports fan, Jeff was overjoyed that his son's interests included sports with both boys playing baseball in their younger years. Jeff was ecstatic when Owen made the high school basketball team and Pat played high school football. He looked forward to attending their baseball games to cheer them on. Jeff was impressed by Pat’s innate artistic abilities.
Later in life, Jeff formed a particularly close relationship with his widowed mother and was very proud of the support and companionship he offered her. Jeff was predeceased by his father, David S. Conley. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Ann Conley, his wife of 27 years, Helen Conley, and his sons, Owen and Pat, as well as his siblings, David Conley, Ellen (Conley) Modi, Brian Conley and Theresa Conley along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and his beloved pup Parker.
Jeff, “Go easy, step lightly, stay free!”
