Jean M. Nolte, “Nana Jean”, of Needham, MA formerly of Westwood MA, passed away peacefully on December 28th 2023 at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Herbert C. Nolte. Loving mother to Stephen and his wife Kim of Canton, Kenneth of Brockton and Michael and his wife Brenda of Westwood. Cherished Grandmother to Samantha, Lindsey, Ryan, Ashley, Olivia and John. Predeceased by her sisters Ginger Noble (James); Dorothy Belanger (Roger) and brothers James F. and Richard M. Sullivan.
Born and raised in Brookline MA, graduated from Brookline High School. She lived in Westwood for 50 years where she raised her family. She worked for 27 years for the Westwood School System in food services. After retirement she volunteered at the Needham Glover Hospital and Westwood Senior Center. She loved her winters in Ft Myers, enjoying the beach with her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Wednesday January 3rd from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning January 4th at 11am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St. Westwood. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
