Griffin, Jane, 74, a long time resident of Quincy, MA and Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018. A highly educated and dedicated career nurse and instructor, Jane was a close friend and mentor to many. There were no strangers in Jane's life…only new friends waiting to be met.
Jane was a 1961 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1964 graduate of Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing. In 1967 she received a BS in Nursing from Boston University and in 1971 a Masters in Education from Boston State College. For many years she was a practicing Nurse and Instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Jane was predeceased by parents Carroll and Jeanette Griffin and sisters Dr. Carol Lee Griffin and Nancy Griffin. She is survived by brothers Thomas Griffin of Boynton Beach, FL and Steven Griffin and his wife Marge of Westwood, MA.
Additionally she leaves behind nieces Leslie Griffin of Boston and Pamela Federer of Boulder, CO and nephews Thomas Griffin Jr. of Marblehead, Ted Griffin of Ashland and Mark Griffin of Nederland, CO. Jane was Great Aunt to her brother's grandchildren Lily, Michael, Alec and Brooke whom she adored and loved. They knew her as GG and loved her back.
Her family wishes to thank Jane's many friends and neighbors who played a big role in her life… she will be missed by all.
At her request, she will be cremated and funeral and burial services will be private.
