James H. "Jim" O'Shaughnessy

O'SHAUGHNESSY, James H. "Jim", of Westwood, MA, formerly of Clifton Park, NY, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021.
Jim was born the second child of Hugh P. O'Shaughnessy and Helena A (Hubbard) on August 13, 1924 in New York City. In 1926 the family moved to Bergenfield, NJ, where Jim was raised. He graduated from De LaSalle Institute in NYC, class of 1942. Jim spent over three years in the U.S. Navy 1942-1946. Participated in the invasion of Normandy aboard the USS Adonis ARL-4. After discharge, attended Rutgers University in NJ, graduating Feb. 1950 while employed part-time in the Bergenfield Post Office.
Married Eileen J. Brock of Oradell NJ on 09/04/1948 and spent 68 years in marriage before Eileen passed away in 2017. Joined Addressograph Corp. as a Sales Trainee and was appointed Sales Supervisor in 1946 and Branch Manager in 1950. Subsequently he led branches in New Haven CT, Westchester/Bronx, Northern NJ, NYC and Albany NY. Jim retired 10/31/88.
Survived by his loving children Kevin (Justin) O'Shaughnessy of Cozumel MX, Kathleen O'Shaughnessy of East Haven, CT, James B. and Dena (Carly, Conor) O'Shaughnessy of Hopkinton, MA, Thomas and Christine (Michael, Caitlin) of Jupiter, FL and Maura & Thomas Casey (Thomas, Brock, Matthew) of Needham, MA. Due to Covid and travel restrictions, there will be no calling hours.
