Herbert A. "Herb" Peterson

PETERSON, Herbert A. "Herb", 79, of Westwood, formerly of South Boston, died October 9, 2016. Beloved husband of Joanne M. (Calabro) Peterson for 55 years. Loving father of David A. Peterson and his wife Moira of Wrentham, Christopher A. Peterson and his wife Laura of Franklin and Joanne M. Farrand and her husband Marc of Wrentham. Devoted grandfather of Matthew, Sean, Brandon, Cameron and Caitlin. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Herb was a 1959 graduate of Boston College and a graduate of Boston College High School class of 1955. He was also a member of the St. Margaret Mary Parish Choir for over 40 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday Oct. 14th from 4-8pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Saturday morning Oct. 15th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood, MA 02090 at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herbert's memory to Autism Speaks, 85 Devonshire St., 9th floor, Boston, MA 02109 or to the St. Margaret Mary Choir at the address indicated above.
