Gerald R. Keller

Gerald Richard Keller “Jerry” of Westwood, MA, age 83, passed unexpectedly on March 14, 2023.  Beloved husband of Marianne A. (Mathras) Keller for 62 years.  Loving father of Beth Saccone and her husband Kevin of Norwood, MA, Gerald F. Keller and his wife Linda of Foxboro, MA, and Kristen Winikoff and her husband Brian of Hingham, MA.  Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren: Kelly Saccone Glennon and her husband Brandon, Kevin Saccone Jr. and his wife Alexa, Kate Saccone, Katherine Keller, Gerald Richard Keller II, James Winikoff, Alexandra Winikoff, and Charles Winikoff.  Great-Grampy of Kevin III and Skylar.  Son of the late Frederick and Helena D. Keller of Belchertown, MA. Survived by his brother Armand Keller of Indian Orchard, MA, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Frederick Keller and Carol Cook. 

Jerry was a gambler at heart, and enjoyed a good card game, trips to Mohegan, and many memorable rounds of golf at Norfolk Golf Club of which he was a member for over 50 years.. His most rewarding bet of all – marrying his high school sweetheart Marianne – paid off in spades.  His family was his pride and joy, always playing the role of group photographer, taking sometimes comically slow photos documenting our frequent family festivities over the years. After growing up in Belchertown, MA, Jerry graduated from Northeastern University as an industrial engineer, but quickly found his niche in sales.  He ultimately became the president and proud owner of Gwynn Systems, working together with his son.  Jerry had a warm and generous spirit, and was rarely seen without his cap on his head or a smile on his face.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock Street, Westwood on Sunday, March 19^th from 2 – 5pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Denis Church, 157 Washington Street, Westwood, on Monday, March 20^th at noon.  Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
