Francis X. Gallagher

GALLAGHER – Francis X., of Fort Myers FL and Lakeville MA, formerly of Westwood, died October 8, 2009. Beloved husband to Elizabeth A. (Maus) Gallagher for 61 years. Loving father of Frank Jr. of Braintree, Sheila Gallagher of Canton, Karen Gallagher of Canton, Michael and Deborah Gallagher of Westwood, Denise Gallagher of Canton, Kevin and Patricia Gallagher of Dover, Brian Gallagher and his partner John Kiddon of Dedham and Shaun and Rocio Gallagher of Bridgewater. Brother of Susan Smith of Colorado and the late Thomas, James and John Gallagher and the late Mary Leahy. Also survived by 11 cherished grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Sunday October 11th from 2-6 pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday morning October 12th at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Denis Church, Westwood at 10:30am. Interment with Military Honors at New Westwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.

In addition to a life-long career in textile sales with J.P. Stevens, Frank enjoyed time with friends and family, games of golf, poker, softball, bowling and many a shared story and laugh. Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran WWII.
