DeSARIO, Francis, 81, of Dedham MA, passed away comfortably at home surrounded by family March 15, 2021. Frank is survived by his devoted wife Geri of 57 years. Loving father to Patty Healey and her husband Bill, Francis DeSario Jr, and Lisa Balestra. He was a loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is a U.S. Army veteran and a 40-year veteran of the Boston Police Department. He was a proud member of the elite Tactical Patrol Force for 10 years and finished his career as a motorcycle officer in Boston's North End where he was a fixture. He received "Badge #1" for his 40-year longevity at the Boston Police Department. He proudly covets his #1 Badge as a symbol of strength, integrity, honor and pride. He was also a member of the Blue Knights and the Knights of Columbus. After retirement he wrote a book of his memoirs and worked at Fenway Park as Security.
Frank is also survived by his sister Madeline and Jack Lehman, Paul and Ann Tryder, Ed and Judy Carroll, Valerie Nobrega, and Barbara and Jimmy Horne. He is loved by many nieces and nephews.
Frank is predeceased by his parents George and Esther DeSario, in laws Edward and Gertrude Carroll, brother Mike DeSario and his wife Audrey, and his sister Angela Tryder.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in the Holden, Dunn, and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St, Westwood on Monday morning March 22nd from 09:30 to 11:00 AM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be celebrated at New Westwood Cemetery.
