TOMACELLI, Evelyn (Parent) 95, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, MA, formerly of Needham, MA, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to the late Michael E. Tomacelli, Sr. for 64 years; daughter to the late Edmund and Emma (Dube) Parent of Lewiston, ME; sister to the late Mildred Auger of Lewiston, ME and loving mother of Michael E. Tomacelli Jr. and wife Lois of Bryant Pond, ME, Linda A. Rogers of Lynnfield, MA, Diane F. Borrelli and her husband Robert of Medfield, MA, Jeanne M. Cuccio and her husband Joseph of Chesilhurst, NJ and Laurie E. Cappuccio and her late husband Ralph of North Reading, MA. She is survived by eight grandchildren; Michael A. Tomacelli, Nichole M. Tomacelli, Brian E. Tomacelli, Christopher M. Rogers, Esq., Dr. Joseph M. Cappuccio, Carley M. Cappuccio, Olivia M. Cappuccio and Lucas J. Borrelli; six step-grandchildren, ten step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was born on February 26, 1926 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Edmund Parent originally from Caribou, Maine and Emma (Dube) Parent originally of St. Andre, New Brunswick, Canada. She was raised in Maine and Canada. As a young child Evelyn enjoyed summer vacations and holiday gatherings with her maternal grandparents on their hundred-acre farm in St. Andre, New Brunswick as well as many trips to Old Orchard Beach, ME with family and friends.

As a teenager Evelyn would spend time with friends at the Old Orchard Beach Pier. During the Big Band Era she enjoyed dancing and concerts at the Beach's two elegant ballrooms. Performances were hosted by the colossal talents of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and others.

Evelyn made friends easily, was well loved by her peers and awarded the title of Carnival Queen in 1944 shortly before graduating. Her elegant style and grace helped her land her first job title (of many) as a Fashion Commentator at Bates Manufacturing, the largest textile mill in New England at the time. Here she would work with models and a seamstress to coordinate fashion shows.

Evelyn would later move to Massachusetts and meet Michael, her true love, while working at Arthur D. Little in Cambridge and marry on January 30, 1954.

In her free time after raising five children in Needham MA, Evelyn found joy in cooking, baking, music, sewing, bowling leagues, neighborhood gatherings and gardening. She would eventually return to Old Orchard Beach, ME where she vacationed as a child, to enjoy summer vacations with her family and friends. During her long life, Evelyn (with her husband Michael) enjoyed many travels and cherished the moments spent with her family and life-long friends.
