Elizabeth Anne “Betty" (LaMott) Pearson

September 28, 1918 — January 18, 2011

PEARSON - Elizabeth Anne “Betty” (LaMott), of Dedham, formerly of Westwood, died January 18th, 2011 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Arthur H. Pearson, DMD. Loving mother of Karl Pearson and his late wife Linda of Hudson, NY; Karin A. Pearson of Prescott Valley, AZ; Lissa Zinfon and her husband Gerald of Campton, NH; Eric Pearson and his wife Gretchen White of Carolina, RI; Kristine Browne and her husband Edmond of Tiburon, CA; and Martha McDonald and her husband Robert of Blackstone, MA. Devoted grandmother of Elias, Nathanael and Elsa Pearson and Matthew McDonald and Joel Pearson. Great grandmother of Leah Rose Pearson.

Betty received her BS/RN from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 1939. She and Arthur met in Rochester and were married in 1941. She was a resident of Westwood for 50 years from 1956 until 2006 when she moved to Traditions of Dedham. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood. After retiring from nursing at Faulkner and Norwood Hospitals and Star of David Nursing Home, she enjoyed swims and walks at Hale Reservation, square dancing and volunteer work at Glad Rags Thrift Shop.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Tuesday January 25th from 9-11am. Following the visitation a Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11am. Interment at Old Westwood Cemetery.
