Elizabeth A. “Betty" (Kennedy) Eckels

ECKELS – Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Kennedy), of Westwood, died September 1st, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Eckels. Loving mother of Barbara A. DeWolf and her husband Howard of VA, Patti A. Eckels of VA and Robert W. Eckels Jr. and his wife Patti of Medford. Devoted grandmother of Christine Geurkink, David and Allison DeWolf and Katherine, Michelle and Kimberly Eckels. Great grandmother of Sarah, Joseph, Rebekah, Catherine, Jacob, Matthew, Tobias, MaryGrace and Celia and Jonah. Sister of Barbara A. Fowler and Elaine F. Kennedy both of Laconia, NH. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Monday Sept. 6th from 2-6pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday morning Sept. 7th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
