Eleanor H. Crittenden peacefully passed away on May 1st, 2022, in Norwood, MA at the age of 82 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Crittenden. Ellie was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and after attending Tufts University she raised her children in Westwood, MA.
Ellie leaves behind her loving children: Daniel & Maureen Romaine of Plymouth, MA; Elizabeth (Romaine) Poor of Hollywood, MD; Sue Romaine & David Costa of North Attleboro, MA; her late son Richard Romaine of Manchester, NH. She also leaves behind 8 loving grandchildren: Sara (James) Kappos, Nicholas (Taylor) Romaine, Hannah Romaine (Daniel DeChristoforo), Stefani (Joseph) Butler, Christopher (Marisa) Poor, Benjamin Poor, Kimberlee (Alden) Bartley, Ella (Jonathan) Feist and 7 great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Richard (Mazie) Frenkiel and Martha Frenkiel of New Jersey. Ellie was preceded in death by her children's father Stanley Romaine, as well her husbands, James Younis and Edward Moylan.
Ellie enjoyed many different things in life, especially travel. She visited many states and even several countries during her life. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and tennis player. She also loved gardening, reading and a good game of bridge. She spent her retirement doing all of these things in Ellenton, FL. When getting together with family she would enjoy a good game of scrabble, playing cards or just enjoying the conversation and family time.
