Edward J. Fitzpatrick

Fitzpatrick, Edward J., of Hingham, formerly of Westwood, died peacefully on November 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Marie M. (Hurley) Fitzpatrick for 59 years. Loving father of Edward J. Fitzpatrick Jr. and his wife Joanne (Ricciardone) of Reading and William G. Fitzpatrick and his wife Karen (Gill) of Weymouth. Devoted grandfather of Julianne (Fitzpatrick) Regan and her husband Brian and Brendan, David, Ashley, Makayla, Christopher and Allison Fitzpatrick. Brother-in-Law of Paul Lyons and his late wife Elaine (Hurley). Also survived by three nieces, Judith Lyons, Maureen (Lyons) Trowbridge, and Paula (Lyons) Small and nephew Joseph Lyons. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., WESTWOOD, on Wednesday Nov. 15 from 4-8pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Thursday morning Nov. 16 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood at 10am. Interment with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or at stjude.org or to the charity of your choice. Edward was a U.S. Marine Corps WWII Veteran.
