As a widow with the sudden passing of her husband Tom in 1971, and with a family to raise, Edna used her early career skills to gain employment with top Boston area banks. She later moved the family from Jamaica Plain to Medfield in 1976, where she resided for a number of years. She retired from her position of Executive Administrator to the President of West Newton Savings Bank. She moved to Bellingham in 2003. Edna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother for whom family always came first. She played piano and enjoyed gardening, golf and her Boston sports teams. Her greatest love was for family gatherings, homemaking and caring for Chloe her cat.
