FRANCIOSO, Delta P. (Mella), of Westwood, MA, died Nov. 20th, 2021, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late John P. Francioso. Loving and devoted mother of Bianca Terrenzi, Manuel E. Guerrero, Jasmine Guerrero, and Mary Chris Francioso.
Cherished and proud grandmother of Alexander Terrenzi and his wife Amanda (Marschilok), Amadeus Guerrero and Cassandra Gargas.
Sister of Dr. Enrique Mella, Deydamia Baez, the late Miriam Mella and Glenys Nadal.
Sister-in-law of Ralph Francioso, Lorraine (Hourihan) Francioso, Patricia (Aubut) Francioso, and the late Louis Francioso, Anthony Francioso, Mary (Francioso) Lanata and Lorraine (Cunniff) Francioso. Mother-in-law to the late Stephen Terrenzi and Mustafa J. Sharaan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Delta lived in Westwood, Mass. for many years. She will be remembered for her strong constitution as an individual, her undeniable strength to persevere against all odds, her boundless devotion to her family, her kindness and concern for others, and as the 'Queen Bee' who created a home filled with joy and love for all who entered. Those who had the opportunity to meet her always found themselves captivated by her charisma, emphasized by a warm welcoming smile that made her passion for life evident to each. She touched many lives, and left a part of herself with each of them.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Tuesday Nov. 30th from 5-7pm. At the request of Delta's family, face masks are required in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning Dec. 1st at 10am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St. Westwood. Interment will be at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to support Brigham and Women's Hospital, your gift will be used to support Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fund.
