Winslow, Carole A. (MacDonald), 82, of Westwood died January 25, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Ed in 2005, Carole leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, E.J. Winslow and his wife Dorothy of Norfolk, Maura Adams and her husband Carl of Hopkinton, Jeffrey Winslow and his wife Kristin of Columbus, Ohio, Andrew Winslow of Westwood, and Megan McCoy and her husband Stephen of Mansfield. She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Major Kevin Winslow USAF and his wife Judy, LT Kelly Winslow USCG, and LT Cathryn Winslow USAR, Gabriel and Carly Adams, Aiden and Penelope Winslow, Oddara, Andrew, and Jonathan Winslow, and Shayne, John, AnnMarie, Eddie, and Mikey McCoy, and great grandchildren, John and Maggie Winslow.
Carole was born in Boston on October 14, 1936, the only child of Malcom Wendell and Mary Evelyn MacDonald. Carole was a competitive athlete at Milton High School, and after graduating, she worked as a secretary in the Boston Probate Court.
In 1958, Carole married the love of her life, Edmund J. Winslow Jr., and they moved to Westwood in 1963. Known for her quick wit and impeccable fashion sense, Carole was a long-time Eucharistic minister at St. Margaret Mary's parish and more recently volunteered at the Westwood Senior Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, January 31, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home at 55 High Rock Street in Westwood, as well as the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood on Friday, February 1 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole's memory to the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice Home in Needham.
