Beverlyann Mazzarella of Westwood, MA died on January 4, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family and staff of Revolution Charlwell in Norwood, MA. She was born on January 27,1936, the daughter of Rose Brienza of Roxbury MA. She was born and raised in Roxbury, with a fierce loyalty to Roxbury and her Roxbury girls. Married to John Francis Mazzarella, Jr., for 32 years until his passing in 1990, she often remarked, "There was no other man like him." Beverlyann was a telephone operator prior to her marriage and then became a wonderful mother, home maker and cook. After her husband's passing, she worked at The Faxon Company. She loved to dance around the house and her favorite times were when her house was filled with her children's friends. She was "Ma Mazz" to many. Her favorite pastimes were having coffee with her sister Jackie and beloved brother in-law Michael, cleaning her house, sewing and yard sailing with her dear friend Cheryl.
She was the mother of Donna Lee Ziniti and husband James of Attleboro MA, the late John Francis Mazzarella III and wife Debra of Naples, FL, and Kimberly Ann Trombly, and husband Michael of Shirley, MA. She is survived by her cherished nine grandchildren: James, Alexandra, and Victoria Ziniti; John Francis IV and his wife Rebekah, Andrew, and David Mazzarella; Logan, Michael, and Isabella Trombly. Also survived by two great-grandchildren Harley and Dahlia Mazzarella. She is survived by her devoted sister Jacqueline Ann Ciriello of West Roxbury, MA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, that she loved and adored.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Monday, Jan. 10th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning Jan. 11th at 10am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood. Face masks are required for both the visiting hours and the Funeral Mass. Donations may be made in Beverlyann's memory to The Westwood Sports Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 933, Westwood, MA 02090.
