Berta L. Hulme, of Westwood, MA, formerly of Hyde Park, MA, died at home on July 14th 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late John G. Hulme and loving mother of John R. and Madeline E. Hulme both of Westwood. 

Berta was a 1959 graduate of Boston State Teachers College and she taught in the Weymouth Public Schools from 1959 – 1964. She also worked for the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office as a Victim Witness Advocate for 25 years prior to her retirement.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock Street, Westwood on Friday morning July 19th from 9am – to 10:30am. Following the Visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood at 11am. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey St., West Roxbury.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Berta’s memory to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at aspca.org or to the Animal Rescue League of Boston at arlboston.org.
