HURLEY – Barbara Masters (Malouin), of Milford, formerly of Westwood, died April 22nd surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Hurley and the late Thomas E. Masters. Loving mother of Genie DeBenedictis (Masters) of Franklin, and the late James Masters of Wrentham. She also leaves behind whom she referred to as her two jewels; her granddaughters; Jamie Lee DeBenedictis and fiancé Billy of Bellingham, and Daniella DeBenedictis of Franklin.
Barbara was a graduate of Brighton High School and went on to study at Simmons College where she graduated valedictorian of her class with a double major. She worked as personal assistant to Senator Brooke's wife for several years. Later, Barbara started as an examiner for the Massachusetts Insurance Division. After dedicated, hard work, she became the Director of Consumer Affairs of the Insurance Division for the state of Massachusetts. Barbara was fortunate enough to be able to travel the world. She visited some of the most amazing destinations. She was the best Grandmother that there was. Her love for her children and grandchildren was endless. She enjoyed spending weekends with her two granddaughters, shopping or getting their nails done. It was very important to her that they got the best of the best; whether it was their education or a pair of new shoes. "Memom" will be greatly missed.
