Arnold G. Collins

COLLINS, Arnold G., of Westwood, MA, formerly of West Roxbury, MA died November 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Former husband to the late Ruth (French) Purdy. Loving father to Arnold G. Collins Jr. and his former late wife Nancy Lea Collins of Somerset and Pamela R. Quinn and her husband Sean of Westwood. Cherished grandfather of Joseph and Paul Collins of Somerset and Jake and John Quinn of Westwood. Brother of Philip Collins and his wife Donna of Franklin and the late Pauline Kerwin and the late David Collins. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Arnold grew up on LaGrange St. in West Roxbury and he went to Boston Trade for TV and Radio repair. He started and built a business fixing radios and TVs in numerous area towns and city neighborhoods. In the early 1960's he served in the U.S. Air Force and was put on alert during the Cuban Missile Crisis. When discharged, he moved to Dedham and then to Westwood.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Saturday Dec. 3rd from 2-5pm. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arnold's memory to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans at https://nechv.org.
