POWER – Anne "Nancy", of Westwood, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2013 at the Clark House. She was the daughter of the late Angus Power and Katherine MacDonald and was predeceased by her sister, Marie and her brother, Angus Joseph. Nancy's 81 year long life was filled with family and friends. She and her sister Marie lived in Westwood for many years and Nancy was a devoted and loving sister to Marie. Nancy's love of family and inquisitive intellect guided her interest in Genealogy. She spent years researching and completing an extensive family tree on both sides of her family. Nancy's circle of friends was wide as she was a great conversationalist, an avid reader, a Boston sports fan, and a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary's Parish. Her neighbors and friends were an important part of Nancy's life and brought her much joy and happiness. Nancy's career, based in Baltimore, Maryland, as a medical product specialist included extensive travel in both the US and abroad. After returning to Massachusetts in the 1980's, Nancy enjoyed a second career at Boston College working for the head of Corporate Government Affairs. She is survived by numerous cousins from both sides of her family as well as many wonderful friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Friday morning July 12th from 8:30 – 9:30am. Following the visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, Westwood at 10am. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory can be made to St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, 845 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090.
